Islamorada Restaurant Reviews of Hungry Tarpon

“Can’t beat the view!!”
September 2016
The Hungry Tarpon is always a staple for me!! Once again, not disappointed. The service was great, the fish sandwich was outstanding and best of all we were treated with 3 HUGE Manatee's visiting the dock looking for handouts...the even accommodated petting :-) The tarpon, as usual were monstrous and the pelicans had to get their say in as well.

“Excellent Food”
September 2016
While the service was a little slow, it was worth it! This is an outdoor restaurant. Most of the seating is in the shade. Beautiful views of the water! The conch chowder is one of the best we've had!

“Lunch with a view”
September 2016
Arrived for lunch time friendly welcome we got to pick were we wanted to sit. The view is just beautiful the music is Vibeing. You feel the island life here. The food was delicious as well as drinks. Our son loved his shrimp basket with rice and beans. We had coconut shrimp appetizers so good sauce was different which we liked and shared a burger that was good sweet potato fries loved. Just so relaxing
and so hard to day bye too. We will be back.

“Friendly Fish!!”
September 2016
This is our place for a quick breakfast on our way to Key West. Love it! We usually have eggs and bacon but I've had a fish with mine too. The lunch sandwiches are great, but get there early. The fish by the pier love to be fed and the kids do a good job of not falling in. The arts and crafts for sale in the area on the side are priced to sell and are very attractive.

“Hungry Tarpon-lovely casual dining”
August 2016
We came across the Hungry Tarpon just on the edge of one of the Keys in Islamorada. It stood out from a lot of the other places as it was casual setup but for atmosphere, quality of the food and value for money it was exceptional. Compared to others it came out on top whereas other local restaurants seem to charge a lot but were pretty standard. Our family had shrimp dishes and also jerk chicken. Highly recommend for some easy, enjoyable dining.
